Wesley Snipes Gets 3 Years for Tax Evasion

Yet another one of the rich and famous has been caught not paying their taxes. Wesley Snipes, who kicked ass in movies like Passenger 57 and Demolition Man, was sentenced to 3 years in prison today for tax evasion.

The Snipes legal team declared they will be appealing this sentence – which was pretty much stating the obvious. Why do they even announce this anymore? It’s pretty much a given standard that if you’re convicted and sentenced to anything, that you’re going to appeal – I’d like to make it a standard assumption so that reporters don’t have to state the obvious all the time.

Is Wesley Smoking Crack?

If this was Mike Tyson, I’d understand – the guy doesn’t have much money or intelligence. But the Snipes bank roll is far from depleted… Pay your freakin taxes you idiot! I don’t understand how poor people across the country somehow manage to file their taxes accurately, and then you take a movie star like Wesley Snipes and he can’t seem to pull it off.

There’s really no excuse for the Snipe-meister. He can’t even use the “taxes are confusing” excuse because you know he sure as hell doesn’t do his own taxes. I mean, the 3 year sentence is pretty brutal, but it almost serves him right for being greedy.

Hopefully his martial arts skills aren’t rusty… He might be needing them in the showers.
