While on tour in Europe, 50 Cent was feeling the rave-like music they would play in the late-night European clubs. He decided to start recording some new tracks for his next album, which seems like it's going to be a sick mix between hip hop and dance/electro. From talks with 50 Cent fans, they seem to be excited about his future dance tracks.
50 Cent talked with Hip Hop DX about his upcoming album and said:
“I’m excited about it too, it has a total [sic] different vibe,” revealed 50. “I won’t allow myself to be placed in a box where I can only do one style, or do one kind of music. They should expect the unexpected on this one. If they can understand how I enjoy different genres of music and different styles, for the people who have various tastes in music, they’ll really like it.”

Drake is looking to really establish himself as Drake The Artist in his upcoming music video. In fact, he’s calling the upcoming music video for “Over” his first video.

According to HipHopDX – Drake says, “This is my first video,” he told MTV while shooting the clip. “I’ve shot a lot of videos before, but this is my first attempt to establish myself as Drake the artist. Shooting the other videos I’ve done has been great. I really don’t care what other people think about them, they were great experiences for me. I’ve learned a lot from them. Today, I’m shooting with somebody I really look up to and respect. I’m shooting with Anthony Mandler.”

In an effort to push it’s way into the Urban Hip Hop environment (even more), McDonald’s recently had a hip-hop spinning contest. The contest involved DJ’s ’spinning’ on top of large Big Mac boxes. Looks downright ridiculous when you check it out in the video.
McDonald’s has received bad publicity in the past for pushing its hip hop tie ins targeting the urban community. Some say its hard for inner city folk to eat healthy when there’s nothing but fast food restaurants all over the place.
What do you think about McDonald’s overly marketing to the hip-hop community?

According to HipHopDX, Lil Wayne exchanged his grill for some root canals – getting root canals done on 8 of his teeth (all in one sitting).
Still, those 8 root canals are nothing compared to Heidi Montag’s 10 surgeries when going under the knife months ago.
