A brawl recently broke out between local Malibu surfers and paparazzi. The whole thing is Matthew McConaughey’s fault!
Paparazzi was trying to snap photographs of McConaughey on the beach - doing his usual “I like to not have my shirt off” routine. All the commotion seemed to bother some local surfers who later stated that they were protecting their turf.
Fighting broke out and the paparazzi probably was happy about it because now they have some good footage - even if the fighters aren’t celebrities - TMZ was all over it.
Ranae Shrider is more in the public eye than she’s ever been before. She has been identified as the partner in the Mini-Me (Verne Troyer) sex tape.
I think this is the perfect scenario for describing “unwanted fame.” Being caught getting busy on camera can be an embarrassing thing - and even more embarrassing when you’re a celebrity because it is broadcast to the world. Now add on that her partner was a well-known midget, and it adds up to quite an embarrassment.
It Sucks to be Ranae Shrider:
Unlike super celebrities like Paris Hilton, who are caught on tape, Ranae is a Z-list celebrity at best. She wasn’t really known for anything in the past and will never be known for anything other than this. While Paris was able to perform many more publicity stunts to cause the media to forget her sex tape, Ranae just isn’t that lucky.
Ranae is noted as being a model… Why? I’ve seen some pictures of her, and I’m almost starting to wonder who should be more embarrassed - her, or Mini-Me.

And the worst thing about this whole ordeal - it keeps escalating. Now Mini-Me (Verne Troyer) is filing a 20 million dollar suit against TMZ.
Residents living near Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad, and Lo’s new crib are complaining about the media frenzy surrounding their neighborhood.
Apparently neighbors have complained about the swarming paparazzi and stated that the area is zoned for single family homes - not MTV filming.
MTV’s response:
“MTV is in accordance with all required production permits, and is working with the city of Los Angeles to assist it with neighborhood concerns that have been raised.”
My Opinion:
Dude, how can you complain about living near Audrina Patridge?!? I don’t care if she brings a bunch of crack-heads to the neighborhood, she can live near me any day.
Jessica Simpson appeared on the view today (June 25th) and made a key comment that celebrity media was sure to pay attention too. Jessica said that she and Romo have been dating for 7 - or 8 months now.
There are two aspects of this comment to focus on:
1. Jessica ignored any mentioning of a break, break up, or any drama in the relationship. Was the break up all a media hoax?
2. Jessica isn’t one of those girls that knows the exact number of days they’ve been dating.
Don Imus is in trouble, once again, with the black community. He’s made racial remarks in the past - and he’s been properly scolded. But was his most recent remark against African American, or in support of their cause?
The topic of discussion was Pacman Jones being arrested 6 times since being in the NFL. Don Imus is said “what color is he?” - knowing he was black - and when the other guy said “he’s black,” Don Imus responded by saying “well there ya go.”
There are two ways of interpreting this dialogue.
1. Don Imus is saying that we shouldn’t be surprised that he got arrested 5 times, all black people misbehave and get arrested.
2. The I-man is making a point that blacks are discriminated against by police.
Obviously, the media has jumped onto interpretation number 1 - that one is much more entertaining. And to be honest, it sounded like that was what he meant. However, it is possible that he meant interpretation number 2.
Don Imus stated that the remark was sarcastically pointing out how blacks are discriminated against. He also said…
“What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason”
Despite his defensive statements, he is still under a lot of scrutiny for what he said. Whether he meant it to be interpreted as option number 1 or 2 will never be known, but one thing is certain - Don Imus and leaders of the African American community will never be pals.
A man known well for making people laugh finally found a way to make people cry. George Carlin died at approximated 5:55 pm on Sunday, June 22nd.
George had a history of heart problems which led up to his eventual heart failure which ended his life yesterday. Carlin died at age 71, and will be missed by family and fans.
His daughter and wife made sure to express what a great man he was - aside from the great comedian. His wife mentioned him as being his soul mate, while his daughter told reporters how he taught her to speak the truth in a world that doesn’t always want to hear it.

Jessica Simpson’s superstar days are quickly being overshadowed by her lack-of-ability to hold relationships lately. Will she resort to playboy… maybe even leaking a sex tape?

I was busy the other day perusing celebrity pictures (and being good looking) when I noticed that Jessica hasn’t been looking her best lately.
Rather than possessing impossible looks that you only see in airbrushed magazines, she’s starting to look more like a porn star - you know what I’m talking about, how they look all hot while they’re moving around, but then at the end when you get a look at their face you’re kinda like, “ehh” - yea you know.
This makes me wonder, will Jessica go to drastic measures to win back some love from the media? If I were Hugh Hef I’d definitely be workin her number.
