DMX was scheduled to box, fight, scrap, or whatever you wanna call it, with Eric Martinez for a Thunder Promotions boxing match… However, DMX, the dogman hip hop star has recently cancelled the bout.
Why would DMX cancel a fight with Eric Martinez?
According to HipHopDX, Thunder Promotions wouldn’t guarantee that DMX would not be harmed in the boxing match. Furthermore, they would not guarantee that he’d win. Apparently DMX wanted to be assured he would come out of the fight victorious.
While I can see his concern with how losing a fight to Eric Martinez would kill his hardened image, I don’t think getting a guaranteed win would help much either. Best way to be assured of winning is to get in the gym D.
It will be interesting to see if this new hype motivated DMX to change his mind and get re-schedule the fight with Martinez.
