I’m impressed – T-Pain’s got a pretty chill personality.

Found this video of some dude drawing a picture of Rihanna using only MS Paint. At first I was like, ahh this is gonna be stupid – no one makes chill images with MS paint.

It looks just like her by the end of it! I wonder if Rihanna saw this.

I was listening to Ciara’s single – Tic Toc (not featured on her album) and reading comments when someone pointed out that the beat sounds a lot like a Michael Jackson-style one. AGREED.

That’s not a bad thing though… It’s different than most music out right now (which all sounds the same). Some of the vocal styles in Tic Toc had the same over-production to them that most music has now – but the beat was straight old-school-chill.

I still can’t tell if this treadmill fall is staged or not – but this definitely had to hurt and if it wasn’t staged this guy looks like a complete moron.

Rumors float around this industry like crazy (the reason Maino got his big shot with that song). And I’ve caught wind of lots of talk about Philadelphia’s Freeway striking up a deal with Cash Money Records – so I took a break from being awesome and looked into it.

Apparently Freeway is not signed with Cash Money YETTTT… But from the looks of it, he will be. Still sporting that stand-out beard, Freeway has been discussing specifics of a deal with cash money that will likely go down in the near future.

So what does Freeway think of Jay-Z… Nothin but love. Despite not continuing a long career with Jay, he still likes and respects him. Still rocks the Roc-a-fella chain too.

Just when I thought Usher was done making music, and I was sure that the word “swagger” or any form of it (swag, swagga, swaggerific) was fully played out – both came back.

Usher has a new song named “Get My Swagger Back” – which sounds good, the guy can sing ridiculous (without autotune). But, I think a way of actually bringing his swagger back would be to drop using the word swagger. Right after “Turn my swag on” was over I decided that would be the last song that’s allowed to use the word “swag” in it. Soulja Boy left the word on a good note – let’s just stop using it now.

Usher – “Get My Swagger Back”

Someone came up with a somewhat chill idea for putting Taylor Swift and T-Pain on a song – which ended up being called “Thug Life.”

Hip Hop Music.com quoted Jody Rosen in a long spiel about how the song is an overly played out joke… Rosen says the “look I’m a honkey who’s rapping” joke is about as played out as the chicken crossing the road one (ouch). I, and others, tend to agree. They could have had the two put together a good song with T-Pain’s hip hop twist and Taylor on the hook.

I’ve never been a big fan of Kobe – but I suppose he’s won enough games and thrown up enough points that I’ll respect him. Since the Lakers won the finals I figured I’d post Kobe Bryant’s best plays of 2009.
